A Cyber Crisis Management Plan (CCMP) is the cornerstone to building organizational resilience to cyber attacks. Its purpose is to provide detailed information to aid the client in responding to a high severity cyber security incident. Such an incident requires co-ordination across multiple business groups within an organization (typically but not exclusively) under the incident leadership of the technology organization.
Institutionalization of the CCMP requires educating the organization on the plan and how to use it during a cyber crisis. This is achieved through a combination of live training sessions and validated through a series of tabletop cyber war game exercises. These critical activities allow organizations and individuals the ability to learn in a safe environment while building new, essential mental muscle memory.
